Friends of The Library

The Friends of the Library of The Chathams are concerned citizens from both Chatham Borough and the Township of Chatham who want to help our Joint Library give the very best possible service to both communities. They raise money for books, materials, services, programs and improvements which the Library could not otherwise provide from municipal funds. They assist in promoting better use of the Library with projects such as art exhibits, home-reader service, storytimes, book sales and community events. They support the Board of Trustees and Library staff in efforts to keep our Joint Library responsive to the needs of the Chathams

Volunteers for Friends' projects such as the big annual Book Sale are always welcome -- just talk to a staff person or any member of the Friends' Executive Board:

This money goes towards purchasing new books and media for circulation.
